After few seconds of starting Setup.exe, the executable(SelfSetup.exe) dies and deletes all extracted files in the temp folder. The executable(SelfSetup.exe) is running fine, after extracting all the files to a temp folder it starts Autorun and then Autorun starts Seup.exe and dies. I am also using wait for option with Setup.exe, so that WinZip will wait till Setup.exe completes. I am using c Atuorun.exe for the command to execute after unzip operation completes.
I have zipped the entire contents of the installation program and created an executable file(SelfSetup.exe) by using WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1. I am using WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 to create self extractable setup program, So that the entire installation kit/cd can be put in a single file with self extraction and installation capability. Setup.exe depends on few static images and html files, which are present in the same folder as the Setup.exe . Now its the job of Setup.exe to guide the user through the installation process.
The installation program starts with ͊utorun.exe and once its done with registering/copying the required components, it starts Setup.exe and ends. I am creating a self extracting zip file of a regular installation program.
